WOLVES have shown interest in West Ham defender Calum Davenport according to the highly reliable source, Tribalfootball.

The towering 26-year-old has had numerous clubs down the years including Coventry, Tottenham, Southampton, Norwich, Watford, Sunderland and West Ham.

His permanent move to Upton Park came in 2007, when the Hammers spent £3million to take him from Tottenham.

Since that move he has only started 13 games for West Ham and spent the end of last season on loan at Sunderland.

But it now looks like Mick McCarthy could be set to give him a means of escape.

Vital Wolves Comment: Don’t blame him for wanting to escape from West Ham myself!
