A couple of transfer rumours are flying around at the moment, linking us with Newcastle’s Andy Carroll and Cardiff’s Joe Ledley.

The link to Newcastle striker Andy Carroll who scored 3 goals in the Premier League last season has been featured on the Express & Star rumours page.

Carroll is 6ft 3′, is 20-years-old and has so far featured in all of Newcastle’s games in the Championship.

The link to Joe Ledley is a little less reliable, as it comes from a new poster to Vital Wolves using the name Nympf and they have posted: ‘Wolves are 95% certain to sign Midfielder/Winger Joe Ledley for a fee to be around £6.5 million.’

Ledley is a Wales regular with 30 caps and has played over 200 games for Cardiff.

Vital Wolves Comment: I’m not sure there is anything in either of these rumours.

Carroll is the ideal striker for Newcastle at this time, young, hungry and most importantly he’s probably on a more realistic wage compared to some players who still remain at Newcastle.

Ledley, well it’s come from a first time poster to our forum, who is yet to post again!
