The Vital Wolverhampton Wanderers users summer interviews are back!

With Euro 2012 ending with heart break for England on penalties once again, we thought we would shift our focus away from the European Championships, Wimbledon and the Olympics and back on to Wolverhampton Wanderers challenge on the Championship this August!

We want to hear your views and then via our sometimes lively article comments, we want everyone else to discuss your points and basically keep us entertained over the next month and a bit of no football!

Following on from tom_s and Lincs Wolf we have Vital Wolves veteran southbank, who has also sent in his answers.

Number 1: In your view, what were the three key areas (on and off the pitch) that resulted in our relegation from the Premier League.

(a)Leaky defence (b) poor management (c) wrong financial priorities.

2: Since our relegation has the club resolved any of these points to your satisfaction?

I can only see an improvement in B at the moment (with the appointment of SS), though how effective he will be depends the extent to which C is corrected, that is, if our CEO [one of the problems with B] frees enough money for him to bring in players to improve A.

Number 3: If the season kicked off today, do Wolves have the players, management and staff to earn promotion back to the Premier League?

I think that SS will do a better job with the current squad than MM or TC ever could but we need to get in better defenders to give us a fighting chance of promotion.

Number 4: If you were Ståle Solbakken what position would be your priority to strengthen?

The defence!

Number 5: Anyone in particular in mind?

I hope that Batth will make the grade but we could do with a more experienced player with ability alongside him, though it has to be younger than Craddock. would Dann come?

6: Who would you be desperate to get rid of and why?

Johnson, Stearman, Ward, Berra and only use Henry and Foley as back-ups. The first four are simply not good enough as defenders and could spoil our promotion drive this season. Foley, although more dependable, is slow and easily turned. Regarding Henry, I would prefer to see Davis in his place. He is as effective in the tackle and possesses a far better all-round game.

Number 7: Out of the three relegated sides who do you think is the best equipped to offer a promotion challenge?

Bolton, if they keep most of their team but, who knows if they lose key players. And, under SS I think we will be a much better outfit. I am looking forward to seeing BBS play and with the money we get from the sale of SF and MJ, we should be able to buy in a good defender or two.

Number 8: Out of the sides in the Championship who do you think will win the title?

Apart from the relegated sides, I think Leicester could buy their way to success, as could Notts Forest, awash with Eastern money and under the -ahem- astute management of MM and TC!!!!!

Number 9: Who will be relegated?

No opinion: I am only looking at the top end.

Number 10: What question would you like to ask the Vital Wolves users who are responding to your interview?

Because I have been critical of our CEO and his stewardship of the club, does that mean that I am not a true WW supporter?

Thanks to southbank for keeping the ball rolling and sending in his interview!

Feel free to discuss his points and answer his Number 10 politely, we’re all on the same side don’t forget!
