Record Wolves signing Kevin Doyle could be set for action tomorrow according to McCarthy

The £6.5 million striker has sat out most of the pre-season games through injury, but could feature, although briefly, against Real Valladolid.

The former Reading striker had a hernia op a couple of weeks ago and will also miss out on joining up with the Republic of Ireland squad.

‘If he does anything tomorrow it would be just to get on the pitch and just so he can get out there.’ McCarthy told Wolves Official Website.

‘He’s not going to be doing 45 minutes though, he’s nowhere near that.

Vital Wolves Comment: He is still unlikely to be ready to face West Ham, but at least he is getting closer and will feature before the month is out I reckon.
