WOLVES had a double disappointment over the weekend as Wanderers sent out two teams on Saturday with both failing to pick up victories.

The weaker of the two sides went to Hereford and fired blanks coming away with a 0-0 bore draw.

The stronger side went to Bristol City and lost 2-0.

‘We’ve been back training a fair while now but I thought Bristol City played well” Mick McCarthy told WOW.

‘It was a good game for us and a reality check for all of us that’s for sure.

‘We’re not a Premier League team yet – we are a team that’s earned the right to play there and there’s a big difference.”

Vital Wolves Comment: Regular readers will know my view on pre-season games! This weekend summed it up, supporters travelling to two games, spending hard earned cash on a training exercise.

The only positive those supporters who made the trip to Bristol can cling onto was that they witnessed Nenad Milija? debut on British soil and by all accounts, he did well.
