Wolves secured a 2-1 win over QPR in the Championship on Thursday.

Paul Lambert collected his first win a Wolves boss with the victory against QPR also ending a nine game winless run, which obviously began prior to his appointment at Molineux.

A goalless first half saw QPR reduced to ten men prior to the interval when James Perch was sent off for collecting his second yellow card.

Wolves made the most of the numerical advantage when Dave Edwards opened the scoring on the hour as he fired into the top corner, the second came minutes later through Helder Costa

A tense finale was set up when Joel Lynch scored in the last minute for QPR, he could have secured a dramatic point for the home side in an extended injury-time period too but failed to take his chance as Wolves escaped with a first win since late September.
