Wolves were beaten 2-1 by Cardiff in the Championship on Tuesday.

Defeat at Cardiff saw the home side move above Wolves and outside of the relegation zone – fortunately it didn’t result in us dropping into the bottom three though!

Wolves made a perfect start when Matt Doherty’s 20-yard strike beat Cardiff keeper Ben Amos. He should have done better but we weren’t complaining with Wolves into a second minute lead.

19-year-old keeper Harry Burgoyne then came under intense pressure. He was finally beaten after failing to clear a corner and that allowed Matthew Connolly to head Cardiff level on 68 minutes.

Cardiff’s continued pressure paid off when Anthony Pilkington won it for the home side on four minutes from time to see them move a place above us as Wolves dropped to 20th.
