Wolverhampton Wanderers brushed aside Tranmere Rovers at Molinuex on Tuesday night.

Two first half goals from Leigh Griffiths and Dave Edwards put Wolves into a comfortable lead before the break and the three points never looked in doubt.

But whilst Wolves controlled the game better and dominated the statistics, they failed to take the chances created and Jackett now wants that area of our game to improve.

“I thought we played very well tonight, The signs from Saturday and today are suggesting that we are getting more control and our passing was very good.’ Wolves gaffer Kenny Jackett told the Wolves Official Website.

He continued: “The only thing I can be critical of is our shooting and our finishing.

“We had a lot of good situations and a lot of shots but didn`t work their keeper enough or score enough goals and put Tranmere away.

Vital Wolves Comment: The three points take us back to the top of League One.

Leyton Orient drew away to Bristol City, while Peterborough lost away at Brentford. That defeat now means that Preston occupy third spot, nine points behind Wolves.
