Jelle Van Damme has now officially completed his move from Belgian side Anderlecht to Wolves for a fee thought to be around £2.5million.

The 26-year-old has signed a three-year contract with a further year’s option with Wolves.

The transfer appeared to stall towards the end of the negotiations, but the deal has now officially been completed.

‘It feels nice to be here with everything now sorted out,’ Jelle Van Damme told Wolves Official Website.

The 26-year-old Belgian international defender added: ‘I saw the last home game with Sunderland and now everything is finalised with my former club so I’m happy.

‘With all due respect to the Belgian League, there’s a big difference between that one and the Premier League. Even from what I’ve seen so far here, it looks more professional than what we had even at Anderlecht which was the biggest team in Belgium.

‘For me it is two steps higher. I have a lot of ambition and I want to succeed here.’
