Former Atletico Madrid full back Jonny made a quick impact at Wolverhampton Wanderers following his loan arrival back in the summer of 2018, and with only 22 appearances under his belt, the 25-year-old convinced the club and head coach Nuno Espirito Santo to shell out £18million for him during the January transfer window to bring him in permanently.
Having quickly settled into life at Molineux and in the Premier League, he now has over 50 appearances to his name in total, and the Spanish international continues to be a very valuable member of the squad as we push ourselves further up to the top flight table.
With plenty of other players at the club having their moment in the spot light, Jonny has continued to go about his work in a steady and reliable fashion and following our victory over West Ham United in the midweek fixture, plenty of fans felt he needed a shout out or two after his showing.
Brilliant last night Jonny, you're having quite a season!

I agree. Jonny and Dendoncker, once again, outstanding tonight. #wwfc

Jonny was superb again. Underrated to unreal amount he’s improved going forward as well now. Doc again did what he had to solid in defence and always a threat going forward. Neves and Joao you can’t describe that pairing both incredible players.

Passion just oozes out of Patrick Cutrone. You can see how much it means to him to stick that one in the corner last night.
Neto impressive when he came on, Dendoncker an absolute man-mountain, Jonny back to his old self.
Exciting times.#wwfc

Excellent AGAIN tonight Jonny. Our most undervalued player – week in week out you give it everything – thanks for wearing the shirt with pride!

Absolutely outstanding tonight Jonny! Tackle, run and pass over the top in the second half was awesome. Unlucky not to score too. 👍👍👍
