Another Wolves player has managed to get himself into bother with the police whilst away on loan from Molineux.
In November Adam Hammill escaped a prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to two counts of assault on two female paramedics whilst on loan with Huddersfield – Full Story – Click Here.
Now Wolves striker Leigh Griffiths who is on loan to Hibernian is facing a police investigation after he allegedly made a racist comment on social media site Twitter.
The 22-year-old who has since apologised, deleted the remark and protected his account, got into an argument with with another twitter user which resulted in Griffiths telling @Zak_Iqbal to: ‘f*** off back to your own country ya clown’.
A statement on Wolves Official Website read: ‘Wolves are aware of an alleged racist comment made on Twitter last night by Leigh Griffiths.
‘The Club condemns such comments in the strongest possible terms and are extremely angry and disappointed.
‘The player is currently on loan at Hibernian FC and is likely to remain there for the rest of the season.
‘He is, therefore, subject to the disciplinary procedures of Hibernian FC and those of the Scottish Football Association. However, Wolves are in dialogue with Hibernian and are making their feelings known on the matter.
