Wolves boss Mick McCarthy felt that we gave Manchester City too much respect in the game on Saturday.

Manchester City took all the points as an Adebayor goal claimed the spoils, but despite their chances and expensive firepower, they couldn`t extend their lead and Wolves threatened to pinch a point when Keogh hit the bar.

‘We gave them too much respect at first and they had lots of chances. But in the second half we played well and could have got something out of it.” McCarthy told the BBC.

While he admitted that City overall did deserve the points, he was still pleased with the second half performance: ‘I don’t know if we would have deserved it, as they missed a lot of chances. But we had a go after the break at least, played really well and really put a shift in.’

Vital Wolves Comment: Got to agree with Mick, City were the better side and deserved the win. Then again they should be after spending that much money!

However if we keep it tight and keep the scores down we will continue to threaten to steal points from games that we do not necessarily deserve them.
