Wolverhampton Wanderers are being linked with a move for Huddersfield Town winger Ramadan Sobhi.

The Daily Mail have reported this week that they believe we are interested in the 22-year-old who is spending the rest of the 2018/19 campaign out on loan with Egyptian club Al Ahly and by all accounts, he’s had a phenomenal impact with them, credited with nine assists since his switch in January.

He arrived highly rated at the Terriers back in 2016, but has largely struggled but given his natural talent, he could thrive in a more forward-thinking Wolves setup.

It’s not necessarily a move that would normally seem to appeal to the club now, but given his current form and the upcoming African Cup of Nations, should he do well and continue his improvement on the international stage, as the Mail point out, his value will likely significantly rise and that would be the major benefit for us as we have to remember to balance the books as we continue to grow.

It’s worth thinking about as a short term gamble for long term gain possibly.
