Wolves On The Tweet

This Watford Tweet Didn’t Age Well – Wolves Are Back In Europe

|

With Manchester City taking a massive 6-0 victory over Watford (poor Troy Deeney) in the FA Cup Final at Wembley earlier this evening, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ first season back in the Premier League in 2018/19 got a significant touch better, as their defeat sees us entered into the 2019/20 Europa League campaign.

After a 40 year absence going back to 1980/81, Wolves are back in European action next season owing to our seventh place finish in the top tier.

We have an early start this summer as we enter at the second qualifying round stage and the first match of a two-legged doubleheader is scheduled to take place on Thursday July 25, with the second leg following on Thursday August 1.

Wolves fans will discover our eventual opponents in the second qualifying round draw which is set for June 19.

Rightly and understandably, reaction on social media to the result and the news has been incredibly positive and it will be a further boost to spirits but I have to pick this one out as my favourite.
