Wolves have extended Doncaster ‘keeper Jan Budtz loan for a further 3 weeks following a fresh injury to Karl Ikeme.

After recovering from his ankle problem, Ikeme is now suffering from Patellar Tendonitis, a particularly debilitating injury for a keeper.

‘Carl needs to do some strengthening work and it will be two to three weeks before he can return to full training,’ Wolves Physio Barry Holmes told the clubs official site.

Patella Tendonitis a condition that arises when the tendon and the tissues that surround the knee cap become inflamed and irritated. This is usually due to overuse, especially from jumping activities, hence its moniker, ‘Jumpers Knee ‘.
