Lots of Wolves fans have expressed their discontent over a journalist’s transfer update, with many not happy that there are no imminent incomings.
According to the Express and Star’s Joe Edwards, the club is ‘working hard’ to get some deals done, however, ‘they are still on the lookout’.
With Wolves fighting it out for the European spaces in the Premier League as well as in the knockout stages of the Europa League, many fans are seemingly expecting the squad to be bolstered over the window, especially considering Nuno Espirito Santo has made it no secret that they need reinforcements.
Would you take Thomas Lemar at the club?
Yes please
No thanks - we can do better
After Edwards’ tweeted the update (which you can read below), many fans responded pretty negatively, with some even suggesting that sporting director Kevin Thelwell needs to leave.
Others have suggested that it is ‘poor’, ‘ludicrous’ and that the club don’t have an idea.
Here are some of the replies below…
Surely 'being on the lookout' a week into a month long transfer window is pretty poor

THELWELL OUT

I’ve a horrible feeling we’ll do next to nothing this window and limp through the rest of the season with what we have. I, like many Wolves fans have little faith in Thelwell.

On the lookout, clearly no one has an idea recruitment wise, I’m starting to question what the ambition is top 4 or we at a crossroads that’s its become what profit can we make?

I know we’re rich to complain but I feel we’ve hit a bit of a wall in terms of recruitment, we need to freshen up every season. Stand still and you get left behind, Either fosun aren’t willing to spend or Thelwell is out of his depth.

No imminent incomings????
What was the plan if Cutrone had gone!!!! Ludicrous— Stewart Wilkes (@acna98) January 8, 2020
There have been a fair few rumours the other way about players departing Molineux.
Both Rafa Mir and Patrick Cutrone have been strongly linked with moves away from the club, which means that the club would be very short in the attacking department, with no one really left to a genuine backup option for Raul Jimenez.
Therefore, if both of those players depart, then it has to be assumed that another attacker will come in.
