Lots of Wolves fans have expressed their discontent over a journalist’s transfer update,  with many not happy that there are no imminent incomings.

According to the Express and Star’s Joe Edwards, the club is ‘working hard’ to get some deals done, however, ‘they are still on the lookout’.

With Wolves fighting it out for the European spaces in the Premier League as well as in the knockout stages of the Europa League, many fans are seemingly expecting the squad to be bolstered over the window, especially considering Nuno Espirito Santo has made it no secret that they need reinforcements.

Would you take Thomas Lemar at the club?

After Edwards’ tweeted the update (which you can read below), many fans responded pretty negatively, with some even suggesting that sporting director Kevin Thelwell needs to leave.

Others have suggested that it is ‘poor’, ‘ludicrous’ and that the club don’t have an idea.

Here are some of the replies below…

There have been a fair few rumours the other way about players departing Molineux.

Both Rafa Mir and Patrick Cutrone have been strongly linked with moves away from the club, which means that the club would be very short in the attacking department, with no one really left to a genuine backup option for Raul Jimenez.

Therefore, if both of those players depart, then it has to be assumed that another attacker will come in.

  • I’ve said for years Thellwell is the problem regarding recruitment at the club for we losing out on good players, he’s an ex Academy guy so he wants that to do well because it’s a feather in his cap, we will miss out on a lot of quality players because he is shite at his job.

  • I am not and never have been a fan of Thelwell. Every transfer window is the same delay, delay, delay. We are led to understand Wolves have a comprehensive scouting system which I am sure is correct yet clearly led by the wrong man. I feel for Nuno’s frustration if we fail to bring in what is required during this window. Time for Jeff to get Thelwell a set of coveralls the toilets in the South Bank need cleaning..
