It appears that the fortunes and future of Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy graduate Bright Enobakhare may well have turned if a recent report suggesting that head coach Nuno Espirito Santo was now going to give him a shot prove to be true – as most expected him to return to Coventry City in some capacity this season.

“We Could Potentially Buy Him” – CEO Comments On Wolves Player’s Possible Future

With Coventry making no secret of their desire to see him return and the player himself making it pretty clear he wanted to remain at the club, things did get a little bit confusing when we optioned his 12 month extension but many assumed (like me) it was simply to protect any transfer fee and ensure that we got favourable future clauses in place on a transfer.

The E&S reported on Friday that the club were now in discussions with the 21-year-old over a new contract and that he was one of several fringe players that would come into Nuno’s plans given our early and additional Europa League qualifying campaign this season.

We’ll have to see, but the early rounds certainly should be an opportunity for our youngsters.
