Wolverhampton Wanderers confirm they will be without Ruben Vinagre against Leicester City on Friday evening. The 20-year-old has been out of action since mid-January with a hamstring injury, causing him to miss their last three Premier League games.

Vinagre has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring two goals. The Portuguese u21 international isn’t a regular under Nuno Espirito Santo, amassing only 338 minutes of Premier League football, but he’s a valuable squad player and has stepped up when Jonny Otto’s been unavailable.

Nuno will hope that Jonny stays fit as Wolves have no more cover at left-back – Ryan Giles was loaned out to Coventry City on deadline day. Vinagre is the only first-team player sidelined with injury now Adama Traore has returned, so Wolves have a near clean bill of health following the winter break.

Ahead of their meeting with Leicester, Wolves are ninth in the league with 35 points from 25 games, having picked up one win and two draws from their last four outings. They face a Leicester side sitting third in the table with 49 points. The Foxes have won one and drawn one of their last two games.

How will Wolverhampton Wanderers fare against Leicester City?
