A visit from Premier League side Swansea and the trip to League 2 Champions Northampton have been added to the Wolves pre-season schedule.

In fact these matches complete it!

Swansea will come to Molineux on Saturday 30th July, which will kick-off at 3pm, for the traditional final home pre-season friendly ahead of the 2016/17 season with all the proceeds from this match, as we know, going directly to the Sir Jack Hayward Statue Fund.

Discussions on a number of pre-match activities ahead of the match will be discussed shortly.

Kenny Jackett has previous with Swansea as he was the boss of the Swans from 2004-2007 with him helping them the promotion into League 1 and also leading them to the Football League Trophy during that period.

Following on from that announcement Northampton was slotted into the schedule to round it off.

Jackett will take the squad to Sixfields on Tuesday July 26th, which will have a 7:30pm kick-off as we come face to face with the side we’ve faced twice in the League Cup in recent years with the last meeting seeing Northampton beat us three-two at Molineux in August 2014.

Pre-season schedule in full.

Crewe (A) Friday July 15th, 7:30pm
Cork (A) Monday 18th July, 7:45pm (part of the Irish training camp)
Port Vale (A) Saturday 23rd July, 3pm.
Northampton (A) Tuesday 26th July, 7:30pm
Swansea (H) Saturday 30th July, 3pm

We’ll then see the Championship season kick-off on Saturday 6th August, assuming we’re not given a Friday night, Saturday lunchtime/evening or Sunday slot!
