Wolverhampton Wanderers yesterday confirmed that 23 year old winger Helder Costa had now successfully undergone surgery on his long standing ankle injury.

The player has been struggling with the troublesome problem since towards the end of last campaign and having expected rest initially to clear the matter up, that proved not to be the case so all parties have moved quickly meaning he underwent the operation and is now back home beginning the process of rehabilitation.

The expected time on the sidelines from an operation like this is said to be six to ten weeks, but with the operation being a success the shorter end of that time scale is now hoped for.

Wolves remain confident he will make a quick and speedy recovery and be more than available for selection probably around November time whehn you factor in getting his fitness levels fully back.
