While the nations focus is on the Olympic Stadium and whether West Ham or Tottenham will get the keys to the door in 2012, Wolves fans are focussed a lot closer to home.

The future of our home is set to be decided this week (thankfully without a running track in sight).

The £40million development will see Molineux swell from a 29,408 capacity to one of 37,000 with the possibility of a further expansion, raising the capacity again to 50,000, if of course it is deemed necessary.

The Stan Cullis Stand will be knocked down to make way for a new two-tier stand during phase one, phase two will see the Steve Bull Stand is rebuilt.

A new club store, museum ‘banqueting suites’ and cafe will also built under the plans.

But will the club blink and go ahead with the developments with our Premier League future in doubt? Or will a decision be postponed until our future is a little bit clearer?

“A decision regarding whether or not we`ll proceed with stadium redevelopment in the summer will be made in late January or early February and everything is still on track.” Wolves spokesman Matt Grayson said to the Express & Star.

Clearly our Premier League future will not be any clearer by then, so I wonder what factors are being considered by those walking the corridors at Molineux?
