With Wolverhampton Wanderers’ social media team Tweeting out previously that on-loan Benfica striker Raul Jimenez had been directly involved in 56% of our goals so far in eight Premier League matches, fans were obviously impressed with his contributions with the season still so early.

Sitting in seventh place in the Premier League table as real football takes a pause for international action, the Mexican international only has two goals of his own to his name so that shows his work rate at the top of the pitch and his involvement and in response to the Tweet, the reaction from fans was pretty obvious and to be expected really.

Praise for his performance levels will come as no surprise to anyone who has seen him play and that lends itself to calls for his permanent signature, but I guess it says everything that a number chose to comment on his overall work ethic as although the goals aren’t flowing, he’s more than doing his job.

  • Don’t these so called Wolves know anything, a deal is in place to sign Jiminez at the end of the season, this was stated when we first had him, talk about glory hunters, if they were true, loyal, seasoned fans they would now these things.

    • We do know John, or we do now as you spell it 😉 however a deal to buy at season end does not mean that the player HAS to sign, if he hears a sniff that Barcelona (for example) would like him to play for them then any agreement between Wolves and his parent club would not be worth the paper it’s written on, and if Raul continues playing as he does then this scenario gets more likely, so sign him up asap is what I say
