Sharp Bid Blunt’s Wolves’ Hopes

NEWSPAPER reports over the weekend suggest Wolves have seen a second bid for Scunthorpe United’s highly rated Billy Sharp rejected.

Steve Morgan will be unveiled as the new Wolves owner early next week and Wolves have wasted no time in trying to spend some of the £30M Morgan has ploughed into the club.

Much has been made of transfer targets Freddy Eastwood and Billy Sharp and the News Of The World yesterday reported that Championship new-boys Scunthorpe have rejected a £1.8M bid for top target Sharp.

If true, this will be the second time Wolves have been knocked back on the Sharp front. A reported £1.5M bid was rejected last week as Scunthorpe appear determined to hang out for the £2M valuation.

I really do hope Wolves/Moxey can secure the services of this bright spark, and sooner rather than later, as when other clubs players start leaving, i.e. Kamara and Bent, these other clubs will be sniffing around – with money I must add – and won’t consider haggling. They will just jump in at the deep end, splash around, and will just pay the full whack, without considering the effects.
