According to Wayne Veysey of the Football Insider, Jordan Graham is ‘poised to’ join Gillingham on loan. The deal is ‘on the verge of completion’ after Wolverhampton Wanderers reached an agreement with the League One club.

Graham is already training with the Gills and should be officially confirmed soon. The 24-year-old hasn’t made a first-team appearance for Wolves since 2017, so he had no other choice but to leave on loan to get regular football.

And with his contract up in the summer, Graham’s five-year stay at Molineux may be coming to an end.

The former England u17 international joined Wolves from Aston Villa in 2015, making 17 appearances in all competitions, but his last outing came in Wolves’ EFL Cup win over Southampton (August 23, 2017).

This season, Graham finds himself surplus to requirements due to competition from Adama Traore, Pedro Neto and Diogo Jota. Daniel Podence’s arrival from Olympiacos now means Nuno Espirito Santo has four wingers at his disposal, so there’s no room for the 24-year-old.

With Graham set to join a mid-table League One side, he’s clearly not good enough for Wolves.
