Wolves failed with a bid for Loader back in August and could return in January, but they may have competition from Manchester United among other clubs. The England u20 international was outstanding at youth level before being promoted to Reading’s first-team, contributing 11 goals in 18 games for the u18s and 23 goals in 36 games for the u23s.

Loader has made six appearances this season, racking up 201 minutes of football. He started in Reading’s 3-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday (August 3), came off the bench in the Royals’ EFL Cup win over Wycombe Wanderers (August 13) and started in their EFL Cup win over Plymouth Argyle (August 27)

The 19-year-old came off the bench in the 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough (September 14), 1-0 win over Preston North End (October 19) and 3-0 win over Luton Town (November 9). Whether Wolves are successful landing his signature remains to be seen, however.
