Report: Wolves ‘kept up’ with 21 y/o and are the ‘best’ option, PL rivals have ‘been lurking’

According to Eldesmarque, Wolverhampton Wanderers ‘have kept up’ with Mohammed Salisu and may have to battle Bologna for his signature.

Southampton and Watford have ‘been lurking’ for Salisu while Atletico Madrid and Manchester United have been linked with a move for the 21-year-old, but Eldesmarque say Wolves are the ‘best option’.

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

Nuno Espirito Santo has Conor Coady, Willy Boly, Max Kilman, Romain Saiss, Ryan Bennett, Dion Sanderson and Leander Dendoncker at his disposal, but Kilman doesn’t command a starting place, Bennett could be sold this summer, Sanderson is likely to be loaned out next season and Dendoncker is a natural midfielder.

Wolves have been linked with Christian Luyindama, Tosin Adarabioyo, Gabriel Magalhaes and John Egan, but Eldesmarque believe they have a good chance of landing Salisu. The 21-year-old rose through the youth ranks to the Real Valladolid first-team in 2019 and has gone on to make 30 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and making one assist.

Salisu’s market value is £9.9m, but he may be worth a lot more to the Pucelanos as he’s been a regular under Sergio González Soriano – 28 appearances across the board this season.
