Wolves are interested in signing Juventus attacker Douglas Costa, a report from Italian outlet Tuttosport has claimed.

Since joining Juventus from Bayern Munich back in the summer of 2017, Costa has made 102 appearances in all competitions for the Italian champions, scoring 11 goals and providing 17 assists.

According to the latest reports, Wolves are now interested in a move for the Brazilian international, and it seems things could be working in their favour as they look to get this deal done.

Agent Jorge Mendes is apparently attempting to oversee the move, as he looks to secure another high-profile recruit for Wolves, as the Midlands club once again look to challenge for a European place this season.

It is thought that Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo is willing to let Costa leave the club this summer, with the 30-year-old not in his plans as he looks to update his squad for the coming campaign.

As things stand, there are two years remaining on Costa’s current contract with Juventus, securing his future at the club until the end of the 2021/22 season.

This would of course, be quite some deal for Wolves if they could pull it off.

They have already spent big this summer, with the arrival of full-back Nelson Semedo from Barcelona a particularly eye-catching deal, and the recruitment of Costa from Juventus would feel like another statement of intent.

Indeed, Wolves could also benefit from adding a player such as Costa to their side, having lost the attacking influence of Diogo Jota to Liverpool, meaning this is one you would certainly like the club to get done, providing they are able to afford it.
