Report suggests 21-y/o Wolves man is set for Molineux departure

Wolves midfielder Bruno Jordao is set to return to his native Portugal to join Famalicao on loan, a report from Portuguese outlet Record has claimed.

Jordao only joined Wolves from Lazio last summer, but struggled for opportunities during his debut campaign with the club, making just four appearances in all competitions, scoring once on debut during a League Cup clash with Reading that he was later stretchered off in due to injury.

Now it seems as though the 21-year-old could be set for a temporary move away from Molineux this summer, as he looks for some increased game time.

According to the latest reports, Jordao is set to join Famalicao on loan for the coming campaign, when he will look to help the club build on an impressive sixth-place finish in Portugual’s top-flight last season, after winning promotion the year before.

This looks like it could be a decent move for Jordao, given the fact it should offer him the chance to kick-start his career again following what was a frustrating debut campaign at Molineux.

Indeed, with four years remaining on his current contract in the Midlands, it is not like there will be any pressure on Wolves to sell the player at the end of this loan, meaning they should be in a strong position to benefit from whatever sort of lift Jordao receives from his time back in his homeland.

Even so, given the sheer lack of numbers there is in Nuno’s squad right now, you have to wonder whether this is the best time to be letting any more senior players leave than necessary.

As a result, you wonder whether it may be better for Wolves to make sure there are a few in through the door at the club, before signing off on this particular move for Jordao.
