It’s been claimed this week that Wolverhampton Wanderers have now made their first capture of the summer and we can welcome young Paris Saint-Germain defender Raphael Nya to the club.

The report from France football is a little thin on details in some respects, but compared to a lot of the speculation doing the rounds this summer it contains enough to make it thoroughly believable.

Having joined PSG’s Academy previously, they claim that we have already signed the 19-year-old versatile defender who is capable of operating through the middle of defence or as a right back and the Franco-Cameroonian youngster is said to have agreed a three year deal at the Molineux in what is his first professional contract.

Having been with PSG last year as an apprentice in effect, he did wear the skipper’s armband for their Under 19 side, so that bodes well in my opinion.

I’m not seeing any official confirmation of this signing yet but that may be work permit and international clearance based, but clearly he’s a capture for our Under 23 setup and another player we have high hopes for when it comes to the future.
