Bright Enobakhare is one player who may expect to be released by Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer, as he’s been out of favour since 2018 and has fallen behind Raul Jimenez, Leonardo Campana and Renat Dadashov in the pecking order.

The 22-year-old has spent the last two seasons out on loan but hasn’t made the necessary progression to convince Nuno Espirito Santo to give him first-team football.

Enobakhare is out of contract in the coming months and hasn’t played for Wolves in two years, so it’s no surprise a lot of supporters from We are Wolves want to see him axed ahead of the new season.

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

Luke Keane: “Time to move on. I thought he had potential, but his decision-making is all over the shop.”

Christopher Barker: “Sell, sell, sell. Good League One player but nothing special. We have better strikers in Raul (Jimenez), (Diogo) Jota (and Pedro) Neto.”

Neil Wasdell: “Reckon we will put a deal to him so we can try and get some kind of fee by tribunal. Just hasn’t developed.”

Graham Palmer: “Release him. He’ll be good in the lower leagues.”

Keith Holdcroft: “I think his time’s up. He’s more than likely to play in the second or third tier.”

Ash Leo: “Get rid.”

Richard Fryer: “Release definitely.”

Paul Lloyd: “Personal opinion on him is, unfortunately (he’s) just not good for the level we are at and the level we are aiming for.”

Anthony Hammond: “Thanks but goodbye. I’m sure he’ll do well in the lower leagues.”

Bryan Brick Clayton: “Not good enough.”

Stuart Marple: “Out of his depth. Based on what I have seen so far, I don’t think he has what it takes.”

Owen Barratt: “Sell him.”

Sean Durden: “Sell him on. Niall Ennis probably a better prospect and needs to be given his opportunity.”

Bhupinder Masaun: “Very good League One player, but that’s his level unfortunately..”

Andrew Gonçalves: “Nuno got rid of Cavaleiro and Helder – both are solid players. Sadly, Bright lost his chance to continue with Wolves.”

Anthony Wookie Wood: “I think Bright has had long enough to make an impact. Sadly it just doesn’t seem to be working for him. I’d cash in.”

Paul Waddington: “He’s on his way out I reckon.”

Gavin Smith: “Get rid.”

Steve Davies: “Had enough chances. Not good enough.”

Alan Fairclough: “Release.”

The Nigerian U23 international rose through the youth ranks to the Wolves first-team in 2015 and has gone on to make 49 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and making one assist.

Enobakhare’s last outing in a Wolves shirt came in May 2018 and he’s since been on loan at Kilmarnock (August 31, 2018 – January 6, 2019), Coventry City (January 8, 2019 – May 31, 2019) and Wigan Athletic (August 8, 2019 – January 2, 2020).

The out-of-favour striker failed to score in six appearances at Kilmarnock, netted six goals and made three assists in 18 appearances at Coventry and failed to score in three appearances at Wigan.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if Wolves were to let him go.

Terrible player. We should have sent him packing straight after missing sitter after sitter (including one open goal) against man city in the cup the other year. League two player at best. Never ever should have been allowed to stay after that shocking and embarrassing performance against city that cost us the game
