With Wolverhampton Wanderers tasting Premier League Asia Trophy success this weekend with a penalty victory over Manchester City where Rui Patricio was the clear hero from the game, there were plenty of other things for fans to be delighted about as our preparations continue for a second year in the top flight.
With head coach Nuno Espirito Santo including plenty of youngsters in the game as we look to bring through some more homegrown stars again, defender Dion Sanderson may well be a new name to me, but he did his hopes absolutely no harm in the game as plenty of fans were raving about the 19-year-old following the game.
The youngster had replaced Adama Traore and filled in at right wing back in the comprehensive victory over Newcastle United in our previous game, and he did the same in this one against City, coming on as a 62nd minute substitute and he again caught the eye.
The production line at Wolves is obviously back on track in recent years we've had MGW now the current bunch coming through. This Sanderson looks like he could do a job this year. Great haircut as well.
