Wolves On The Tweet

‘Puts fear into every defence’, ‘Always a threat’ – Many Wolves fans are loving this statistic

|

Lots of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have responded to a tweet discussing a statistic about Adama Traore.

Popular Wolves writer from the Athletic Tim Spiers tweeted a statistic from Squawka which showed that Traore had completed more successful take-ons versus Watford than anyone else in any other Premier League game since Opta began collecting such data from the 2006/07 season.

Despite this impressive stat, Wolves still came out as losers against Watford at Vicarage Road after goals from Gerard Deulofeu and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Pedro Neto grabbed the only goal of the game for Wanderers and even a red card for Christian Kabasele with 20 minutes to go wasn’t enough to spur Wolves on and grab that all-important equaliser.

How will Wolverhampton Wanderers fare against Manchester United?

Win

Draw

Lose

Spiers tweeted about the new information, calling it an ‘insane statistic’, to which many fans replied with their opinion – mostly bigging up the talent of the young Spaniard.

Here are some of the replies below…

According to WhoScored, Traore was still the man of the match despite his side losing 2-1 to a team at the other end of the table to them.

Their statistics say he made a mammoth 16 dribbles, got fouled two times and also made two key passes.

He managed to get on the ball fairly often and have 68 touches throughout the match, however, his passing was a bit off as he could only record a successful passing percentage rate of 55.6 per cent.
