Ryan Bennett grasped the opportunity to delight Wolverhampton Wanderers fans with both hands in his showing against Manchester City at the weekend.
Impressing in the backline as we picked a very creditable point from the encounter at the Molineux on Saturday, plenty of fans took to social media to praise the efforts of the 28-year-old as we matched and saw the game out against the reigning Premier League champions.
Wolves took the lead in the game, rather fortuitously as Willy Boly mistimed his header to see the ball bounce in the back of the net off his hand, but it was only with the benefit of replays that most spotted it but sometimes you need that kind of luck in the game. City went on to level but Bennett deserved the words of praise he received following the game and it makes a change to be picking out a player that arrived on a free transfer and too little fanfare given our recent business in the market.
Can’t get over how good Bennett has been. Some of the last minute challenges he’s making are world class

Ryan Bennett was hated upon by Norwich fans and laughed at us when he was signed. Remember that. #wwfc ????

Put the effort in and wear your heart on your sleeves and it’ll always be appreciated by the fan base.
