Jez Moxey Wolves chief executive has called for the Premier League to clarify the new squad rules for next season.

When the new Premier League season kicks off in August, clubs will have already named their 25 man squad.

This is a new regulation which means teams are limited to just their named 25 man squad and supplemented by players under the age of 21.

Due to this new rule Moxey wants to clarify the situation in regards to squad rotation which saw us on in hot water after McCarthy’s squad selection at Manchester United.

‘We are going to have to discuss it this summer because we are implementing a squad system where you can only play with 25 players, and okay, as many under-21s as you want. The managers must be able to select whichever 11 starts out of that.” Jez told the Birmingham Post.

Many months have past but it is still something that appears to wind up the CEO. He added: “We are an easy target, Where were those people four or five months earlier attacking Manchester United for changing their entire team on the last game of the season when they played Hull? Where were they when Liverpool made nine changes?

“Wolverhampton Wanderers, newcomers, you make changes, outrage, let`s have a dig at Mick McCarthy.
