With Raul Jimenez having another fantastic season in the Premier League, it seems that some of the big boys have begun to take notice.

With Manchester United reportedly being interested earlier in the window, it seems that Arsenal have now joined the party, with the Sun claiming that he could be seen as a replacement to Aubamayeng if he leaves.

They claim that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyeng is on Barcelona’s wishlist as a replacement for Luis Suarez, and that could lead to the Gunners making a move for the Mexican striker.

With the 28-year-old contributing 19 goals in 36 games so far this season, he is understandably to the envy of much of the division, but realistically no club has any chance of buying him in this window.

Could you see Jimenez leaving before the start of next season?

Not a chance

Yes, but it's going to cost them

Despite this, he has said in the past that he wants to “improve his career” in the future, which could suggest that he would be up for a move – but no one is expecting him to leave this January.

Considering that Patrick Cutrone left them earlier in the month, they are in a very tight situation with strikers at the moment, with just 19-year-old Leonardo Campana coming in. This means that they ideally need a replacement before the end of the window with a European chase on in the league and the knockout stages of the Europa League, and that would become two if Jimenez was to leave.

Whether his future lies with Wolves beyond the end of the season is still unknown and will probably depend on the performances of the player and the team.

If he performs well and Wolves underachieve, then a move to a bigger team could be on the cards. However, whether Arsenal have the clout of bringing him to the club is a whole different question. There’s a good chance that he could see the club as a sideways move, which would be good news for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
