Leonardo Campana could finally make his debut for Wolverhampton Wanderers in Thursday’s Europa League clash with Espanyol should Nuno Espirito Santo ring the changes as expected. The 19-year-old was selected in the Europa League squad in January and has been tipped to step up to the first-team by Nuno himself.

Wolves’ manager named Max Kilman, Oskar Burr, Owen Otasowie, Taylor Perry, Andreas Söndergaard, Lewis Richards and Luke Cundle in his side’s last Europa League outing – 4-0 win over Besiktas (December 12, 2019) – so Campana has a good chance of featuring. Raul Jimenez has made 39 appearances in all competitions this season and could do with a rest.

Whether Nuno would start Campana after having overlooked him in the first-team so far remains to be seen, however. The 19-year-old hasn’t made the matchday squad in any game for Wolves, so it would be a big call for such an important game.

Renat Dadashov is another striker hoping to get minutes after also being selected in the Europa League squad. He’s also been ignored in the Premier League of late, so it’s uncertain if he’ll get the nod for Thursday.
