Having impressed plenty in our title winning Championship season, Wolverhampton Wanderers star Diogo Jota wasn’t the only player who had a slower start to life in 2018/19 as we made the adjustment to the Premier League.
Fast forward to the end of the campaign, it’s been a great year for Wolves with us getting to the FA Cup Semi-Final and securing seventh place in the table and the possibility of a European adventure next year.
On a personal front for our 22-year-old talent, he’s chipped in with ten goals and seven assists from 32 starting appearances and five substitute showings across all competitions. He also ends the campaign with an award for Goal of the Season for the team effort against Cardiff City back in March.
Well it's officially the end of the season … And what a season !
My first @premierleague campaign ended whith a magnificent 7th place and the award "Goal of the season"
Very happy and with the desire for more success!
Next season we will be back… stronger ⚽️🐺 pic.twitter.com/BFNp6fn8WM— Diogo Jota (@DiogoJota18) May 15, 2019
Taking to social media to reflect on his year and his success, well, he was promising that there was still more to come in the years ahead and fans loved it.
