Joao Moutinho was one of many players in the Wolverhampton Wanderers side to come away with praise from supporters on social media after an impressive performance against Braga.

Raul Jimenez was man of the match as Wolves drew 3-3 at the Braga Municipal Stadium, sealing their place in the last-32 of the Europa League, but Moutinho’s contribution wasn’t ignored by fans.

Against Braga, the 33-year-old played for 84 minutes, made two interceptions, completed 81.8% of his 66 passes, whipped in three crosses, made five tackles, drew one foul and made two successful dribbles.

Moutinho has been a terrific servant for Wolves. Since joining from AS Monaco in 2018, he’s gone on to make 68 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating 18 goals.

Is Moutinho one of the best players to have pulled on a Wolves shirt?

Yes, he is superb

No, he is good but hasn't played enough yet

The Portuguese international has shone this season too, contributing eight goals in 24 games across the board. It easy to forget he set Wolves back just £5m less than 18 months ago.

In the Premier League (1080 minutes), Moutinho has created 24 chances, made seven successful dribbles (64%), won 11 aerial duels (61%), averaged 49.2 passes-per-game with 84.7% accuracy, blocked 24 shots/passes and averaged a tackle (44) or interception (21) every 16 minutes.
