Jordan Graham assisted Gillingham’s winning goal in Tuesday’s 1-0 victory over Southend United and was lauded by some supporters on social media. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a bright start to life at Priestfield Stadium and is flourishing with regular football.

In the 67th minute at Roots Hall, Graham collected the ball from Barry Fuller, dribbled past Harry Kyprianou down the right flank and hung up a cross for Connor Ogilvie to head home at the near post – the 24-year-old beat Harry Seaden to the ball to give the Gils the lead and they held out for the win.

Since joining on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of January, Graham has made four appearances for Gillingham. The winger has started only once under Steve Evans but may have convinced his manager to give him the nod against Lincoln City on Saturday.

Gillingham’s win over Southend saw them end the day ninth in League One with 49 points from 32 games. They’ve picked up 13 points from their last five outings.
