Willy Boly has been linked with a £25m move to Arsenal and Tottenham, but Wolverhampton Wanderers won’t want to let the £40k-per-week centre-back leave midway through the season.

Boly is a regular under Nuno Espirito Santo and would be difficult to replace in January. The 28-year-old may be content staying at a club sitting fifth in the Premier League and having reached the last-32 of the Europa League too. That’s not to say suitors won’t make life difficult for Wolves in the coming weeks…

Arsenal are desperate for a stellar centre-back. The Gunners have Rob Holding, Calum Chambers, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and David Luiz, so it’s little wonder more than half the Premier League sides have a better defensive record.

As for Tottenham, Jose Mourinho’s recent appointment could make them an attractive club to join again. Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen are out of contract next summer, so a replacement might be on their wishlist in January or at the end of the season.

Could Willy Boly leave Wolves to join Arsenal or Tottenham?

Boly has made 16 appearances in all competitions, conceding only 13 goals and helping to keep six clean sheets. Only five Premier League clubs have conceded fewer goals than Wolves (16) while only Liverpool (0) have lost fewer games (2). It’s hard to see him being sold given his importance to the side.
