With Wolverhampton Wanderers enjoying a strong first half to the season, it’s no surprise to see their top-performing players being linked with a number of European giants.

Manchester United are reportedly showing an interest in Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez while Manchester City are said to be keen on Adama Traore. According to Calciomercato, City are lining up a £67.8m bid for the 23-year-old.

Traore has been outstanding for Wolves this season, scoring and creating eight goals in 20 Premier League appearances while creating 26 chances and boasting 111 successful dribbles (76%).

The Spaniard has contributed goals in Wolves’ 2-0 win over Man City in October and 3-2 victory in December which may have got the attention of Pep Guardiola.

Traore is the best winger in the Premier League, but it’s hard to see City breaking their transfer record to strengthen an area they’re already overstocked in.

The Citizens have Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane when fit, so Traore would have stiff competition for a starting place if brought in.

That being said, Wolves are unlikely to let him go regardless. Traore has been their top performer most weeks, so it would take a lot more than £67.8m to make them budge.
