Wolverhampton Wanderers’ head coach Nuno Espirito Santo reportedly put his foot down over the summer transfer window to ensure we captured Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore.
The 22-year-old continues to settle in and fans have seen the best and worst from him so far, but nobody believes he’s the finished product yet so there is plenty of patience left for the lad – especially given the signs we’ve seen of how good he could potentially be.
The Spaniard has played 13 times so far, but returned only one goal and whilst he’s been involved in a few goals with is general play, his productivity can certainly improve and I’m sure that’s being worked on.
Against Arsenal at the Emirates last weekend, Traore had a gilt-edged chance really to secure the win – as did Jota – and that stuck out for these fans as being something he needs to absolutely improve on moving forward. Especially if he wants more starts under the gaffer.
Just seen the Traore chance. He has to do better with that. #wwfc

Jimenez is phenomenal, never stops running. Jonny back to his defensive best. We still need to work on converting our chances, Traore’s and Jota’s chances should be goals any day of the week, but you’d have taken a point away at Arsenal all day.

How did they not win that? Jota and Traore both has great chances to score. Gibbs-White was so unlucky when his shot from outside the box hit the bar too. Still though, another point on the board. Wolves played really well today.???????? #WWFC #ARSWOL https://t.co/S21dYUaQqK

GREAT POINT at Arsenal but I’m so fed up of watching #WWFC and saying “HOW DID WE NOT WIN THAT!?!?”
Jota chance to make it 2-0, 30 seconds later it’s 1-1. Traore misses great chance to make it 1-1… and in the 95th minute MGW hits the crossbar ????

Traore is not a footballer, an athlete yes, but not a footballer #arsvwol #wwfc

Once it properly clicks for this lad it’s going to be a joy to watch.
