Official: Wolves confirm their 12th signing of the season

|

Wolverhampton Wanderers confirmed the signing of Nigel Lonwijk from PSV Eindhoven – their 12th arrival of the campaign. The 17-year-old is a highly-rated centre-back who will develop in the u23s for the remainder of the campaign.

With Nuno Espirito Santo having Conor Coady, Willy Boly, Romain Saiss, Leander Dendoncker, Ryan Bennett and Max Kilman in the first-team, it’s unlikely supporters will see Lonwijk this season.

The Netherlands youth international made 19 appearances for PSV u17s, making three assists. He was promoted to their u19s this season but failed to play a single minute of football.

Lonwijk will hope to establish himself as a regular for Wolves u23s to put himself in contention of a call-up to the first-team. The reserves sit 11th in Division One of the Premier League 2 with 11 points from 15 games this season.
