Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced the departure of Jordan Graham, confirming the 25-year-old ‘left the club’ on a free transfer. Graham has struggled for playing time in the last two years and was out of contract this summer, so his exit is no surprise.

Which club did Wolves sign Raul Jimenez from?

Graham joined Wolves from Aston Villa in January 2015 and has gone on to make 17 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and making eight assists. The left-winger featured 12 times in his debut campaign but made only five appearances in the four seasons that followed.

His lack of playing time at Wolves led to numerous loan moves away – 25 appearances for Oxford United (September 28, 2015 – October 28, 2015) (January 2, 2019 – May 31, 2019), 3 appearances for Fulham (August 31, 2017 – January 15, 2018), 6 appearances for Ipswich Town (August 28, 2018 – December 31, 2018), 7 appearances for Gillingham (January 31, 2020 – May 31, 2020).

With Daniel Podence, Adama Traore, Diogo Jota and Pedro Neto standing in Graham’s way of getting first-team football, the 25-year-old was never going to play under Nuno Espirito Santo.

And with the out-of-favour winger last featuring in League One level, it’s clear he’s not up the standards required to be a regular at Molineux. Wolves have outgrown Graham, so he may be resigned to playing in the Football League next season.
