Nuno States That This Wolves Man Simply Must Improve & It Won’t Surprise Anyone

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has called on record club signing Adama Traore to show the necessary improvement to really get his career up and running at the Molineux and in the Premier League.

Having come in from Middlesbrough over the summer in an £18million deal, the 22-year-old has shown flashes of exactly what he’s capable of in his games for us, but he’s also definitely shown the more frustrating side of his game that fans were warned about by both Boro and Aston Villa fans – in particular when it comes to his end product and not just running blindly down the wings to no effect.

Age is obviously on his side, but where he needs to improve is obvious to everyone.

Speaking to Sky Sports over the weekend as Wolves prepare for tonight’s FA Cup third round clash with Liverpool on home soil, our gaffer said of the Spaniard.

“Adama must improve. Of course he has good things and given us good moments but he has to be consistent through all the performances. This is something we are really focused on because we truly believe in his qualities. I think he is focused, he is working hard and we are helping him to achieve what we want. He needs to improve on a lot of things, like all the players. But I know what he’s going to give me, total availability to do his task.”

I’m not sure there’s a single fan who doesn’t agree with Nuno’s words there, nor the angle he took in also praising the player for his efforts but grounding it permanently in improvement, as he could be an absolute gem – we just need to polish him and we knew that from day one.
