Lots of Wolves fans have discussed whether or not they felt like Jed Wallace was sold too early from the club.
The 25-year-old midfielder was brought to the club in 2015 by then manager Kenny Jackett from Portsmouth, yet Wallace could never cut the mustard at Molineux and was subsequently sold onto Milwall in 2017 after a couple of successful loan spells.
At the time, it didn’t seem like much of a loss. However, the player has hit some form this campaign, which has made dedicated Wolves page @WolvesFC_latest ask the question of whether they let him go too soon.
So far this season, the player has contributed 10 goals and eight assists in his 29 league games, according to Transfermarkt. A pretty immense return from the midfielder who is turning out to be one of Garry Rowett’s most valuable players.
Despite his good form, it seems most fans are pretty satisfied that they let him go.

Only if we needed more dents in our crossbar…

At the time yes, wasn’t given a chance, when he played he was stuck on the left but no where near good enough for us now.

No. Just because someone does better after leaving us doesn’t mean there was any point keeping him. Kenny Jackett collected midfielders like it was a hobby and him and Saville weren’t good enough for where we wanted to be (and now are).

Decent at that level

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and even with it, you still feel as if this was a sensible sale.
Considering Wolves are fighting it out at a European level now and are towards the top end of the Premier League, it would be hard to envisage a place for Wallace within this squad. Whether or not he can go onto reach the Premier League is another question, but you can’t exactly say the team made a mistake with this one.
