Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey has played down the growing media story linking Robbie Keane with a return to Molineux.

But while he played down the link, he also didn’t move to deny it either, possibly suggesting that there could well be something in the story.

‘I’m not going to get drawn on names and certainly not at this stage, We’re looking for better players to try and help this young and hungry team that have done remarkably well this season.’ Moxey said to the BBC.

It had been reported that Wolves would look to take Keane on loan from Tottenham in a similar move which saw him go to Celtic this season. But it’s believed that Spurs are looking to cash in and have set an £8million asking price.

Jez added: ‘As always we’re going to have names thrown at us left, right and centre, but he’s certainly done a very good job at Celtic.’

Vital Wolves Comment: What do you think? Could Keane start next season back at Wolves?
