Coventry City’s out-of-contract midfielder Franck Moussa could be set to join Wolverhampton Wanderers over the summer.
The 24-year-old Belgian has emerged as a potential summer signing for Wolves Head Coach Kenny Jackett after Moussa impressed in League One this season.
Moussa joined Coventry in September of 2012 and has gone on to make 92 appearances for the club, with 46 of those coming this season.
In an impressive season Moussa scored 14 goals, but is set to leave the club once his contact expires next month.
“It`s fair to say Franck will be a target for Championship clubs and we just can`t match Championship club wages and that`s the fact of the matter just now,” Coventry manager Steven Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph.
He continued: “Running this club properly when you consider Financial Fair Play and the fact we`re playing in front of 1,600 supporters, I think you can do your own maths. It`s not particularly easy for us to compete with any clubs from the higher divisions.
“So our only real chance with Franck would be if an opportunity that he had fell through, so the likelihood of him staying here is very, very slim.”
