Having spent the last campaign at Sheffield United, helping them win the title, Wolves’ Ethan Ebanks-Landell has returned to League One and joined MK Dons on a season-long loan.

Ebanks-Landell, 24, signed a new three and a half year contract at Molineux in January but again finds himself down the pecking order and has made a necessary Wolves exit in order to get first team football during the upcoming season.

The Official Website said: ‘Ethan Ebanks-Landell has joined Sky Bet League 1 side MK Dons on a season-long loan. The defender, who spent last season with title-winning side Sheffield United, makes a return to the division to gain further experience.’

Adding: ‘With Wolves already having plenty of competition in central defence, the club has elected to give Ebanks-Landell another opportunity to play regular first team football. Everyone at Wolves would like to wish Ethan the very best of luck for the upcoming season.’

The central defender had helped Wolves to the League One title in 2015 but has often found his chances limited at Championship level.

Meanwhile, Ben Marshall has returned for Wolves’ Austrian training camp having suffered a hip injury.

No timescale has been put on an anticipated exit, Wolves are ‘hopeful’ this isn’t going to be too serious, but the decision was made for him to return home for further assessment and a consultation with a specialist.

‘Wolves` medical team will assess Marshall`s injury further and liaise with a specialist before deciding on the next steps for his recovery. As yet there is no timescale on his expected absence from the squad, but the club are hopeful he will return to action as quickly as possible. A further update will be provided when more information is known,’ read a statement on the Official Website.
